I don’t post that often, but I wanted to share a little snippet of my current point in life- take from it what you may! This painting (not yet finished) was an important aspect of my Masters in Art Education which I just completed this past week. It’s a strange but fulfilling accomplishment - going back to school from such a long break. I was last in school more than 10 years ago, studying Visual Culture in Georgetown University’s masters program while I worked there. Several years prior to that, I was studying undergrad subjects (Ancient Greek and Spanish) that lead to nowhere professionally. I had always been involved in art, but never had seriously stretched myself out in it until now. I’ll be teaching art in the fall, and cannot believe I am where I am now- I never would have thought it! Very excited for this new venture.

New weighted doll pattern - this little one is about 17 inches in length, and is slightly weighted with treated millet to be 1lb 5oz. Stuffed with wool, and made with a soft cotton flannel body. Her clothes will be made of cotton and soft velour to make her even more cuddly!
