About the Artist
Maria is drawn to color and natural expression for her artwork, and enjoys investigating new ways of creating and exploring aesthetics with functionality with her sewing creations, crafts, and small builds.
Maria studied Visual Culture at Georgetown University, and is currently working on her Masters of Art in Art Education at the University of Florida. She has practiced figure and portraiture under artist Robert Liberace, taking many of his classes during her 10 years in Alexandria, VA. Aside from artwork, she loves to garden and create new gelato recipes.
Maria was born and raised in Southern California, and currently resides with her family in the historic town of Williamsburg in Virginia.
